Quick Change Russia - Mazda — Quick Change Act at Moscow Motor Show

The Quick Change Artists, Keelan and Charlotte were excited to be invited to perform for one of the leading motor car brands – Mazda at the Moscow Motor Show in 2011.

It wasn’t the quick change artists first trip to Russia, they had visited many times to St Petersburg whilst on the cruise ship and Charlotte had previously visited Moscow with a Russian friend, but for the Quick change artists it was their first quick change performance in the capital of Russia.

The quick change show was performed alongside some ice skaters/acrobats who were skating on an artificial rink which brought in as part of the launch of the new look Mazda MX-5. The quick change show was performed on the VIP day of the show, where all the media were invited to view the new cars before the general public.

The quick change artists spent an extra day in Russia, exploring the tourist sites of Moscow including the Kremlin and Red Square, they had a very enjoyable trip and the Russian press were appreciative of the quick change art that is every increasingly popular.

Quick Change Artists – South Africa – Momentum Tour

In 2010, British Quick Change Artists, Keelan and Charlotte we fortunate enough to spend two months in the beautiful country of South Africa touring around with South Africa’s leading insurance provider – Momentum. They traveled the width and breadth of the country bringing their quick change show to all the representatives of the momentum group.

The insurance group took to road to spread the word of changes within the company and send the important message to their staff by using a visual and fun way of entertaining their staff with something previously unseen in South Africa, combined with a conference style lecture to get the actual facts across.

The quick change artists performed in 11 cities across South Africa including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Bloemfoutain to name a few. They had some amazing experiences whilst in South Africa, including visiting Table Mountain and a safari trek.

The quick change act was something that had previously not been seen in South Africa and was very much a new and exciting concept, that for some of the more rural areas they visited, blew the minds of the momentum workers and really did give them a new experience.

Quick Change Artists Edinburgh – Magic Fest

The Quick Change Artists were honored to be invited by a personal friend to close the Gala show of the first “International Magic Fest” – held in Edinburgh and organised by reality TV star Kevin McMahon – Physician turned magician!

Keelan and Charlotte flew in straight from another event in Dubai to close the show of the magic festival, which has now been running successfully for three years.

Running just before the Edinburgh fringe, Magic Fest is a celebration of magic for both magicians and the general public, providing a variety magic show on the closing night of the festival to which tickets are on sale to the general public.

The quick change artists are always excited to perform on home-turf – well UK, and there was much support from their peers – fellow magicians who made the trip to Edinburgh to support Magic Fest in its first year.

Quick Change Artists India – Shree Cement

The quick change artists have been really fortunate to travel to India many many times now, one of the largest events they have done to date was for Shree Cement.

The tour was split over three cities and the first night of the tour was held in the grounds of Shree Cement. The audience was in excessive of 10,000 people – the event was put on the workers of the cement factory and it had everything from International artists such as the quick change artists to some of India’s most famous Bollywood stars.

The quick change artists have performed their first international act in India and have travelled there around 50 times since their first trip in November 2008. They have done everything from private events in India to the biggest corporate events such as the Shree Cement event.

The Indian audience really enjoy the quick change act and the quick change artists have a Indian finale dress which always goes down exceptionally well, especially when performing for Indian audiences outside of India.

Quick Change Artists Kuwait – Samsung Smart TV Launch

Quick Change Artists were excited to return to Kuwait for Samsung, for the SMART TV Launch.

Samsung invited many retailers to the launch event of the smart TV so they would be excited about promoting the product – they got to see the product up close and check out the features before general release, as well as enjoying dinner and drinks and an evening of entertainment and awards for sales.

The quick change artists had a great time performing at the Samsung launch even though it was a fleeting visit and the flew in performed the same day and the left the following morning.

Quick Change Artists on Penn and Teller TV Show – Fool Us

British Quick Change Artists were proud to be invited to perform for Penn and Teller – two of the most famous magicians in the USA, and known across the globe. Penn and Teller came to the UK to film a magic TV series – “Penn and Teller – Fool Us” the idea of the show was to try to fool the master minds of magic with ideas and effects that they hadn’t seen before and didn’t know how the magic worked to win a trip to Las Vegas and perform in the Penn and Teller stage show at the Rio Casino and Hotel.

The quick change artists were well aware that Penn and Teller would know how the magic was done as Teller has previously performed some quick changes in his own show but the quick change artists saw it as a brilliant opportunity to showcase their quick change act to the British public as well as their friends and family who came along to the filming of the TV Show. It is rare that their friends and family get to see them perform as the majority of the quick change bookings come in from overseas, and the UK events tend to be corporate events where it is not possible to bring guests along.

Filming the TV show was a brilliant experience for the quick change artists and although they have performed on many TV shows previously including Britain’s Got Talent, with all their family and friends in the audience and the brilliant reception from Penn and Teller after what they deems as a blinding performance, it was a really emotional show for the quick change artists and as expected that they didn’t fool the masters of magic, the whole experience was one they won’t forget. The cast and crew were really fun to be around and Jonathan Ross was a pleasure to meet.

A bonus that came from performing on the Penn and Teller TV show, although they didn’t get to perform with their idols in Las Vegas, they had the most watched YouTube clip from the Fool Us series with an excess of 11 million views.

Quick Change Artists Paris France – TV Show – The Best

British Quick Change Artists, Keelan and Charlotte went to Paris, France in June 2013 to film the popular TV Show – “The Best” – The quick change artists were invited to perform on the French television show to show case their quick change show.

The concept of the television show is ultimately a celebration of variety/circus acts and it is judged by the studio audience and four selected judges one of whom happened to be Arturo Brachetti – this initially made the quick change artists dubious about performing on the French variety show as he is the world’s most famous quick change artist and very well known and respected on the continent.

Performing for Arturo Brachetti made it a very nerve racking experience and they were worried about how Arturo would perceive their version of the quick change, and although TOTALLY different to how he performs quick change, thankfully, he loved it and was very very complimentary indeed and after the judges comments, came down onto the performance area to meet, greet and hug the British Quick Change Artists.

Meeting Arturo and getting his approval of the quick change performance on the French TV show, meant the world to Keelan and Charlotte and something they will never forget. Something that they were almost dreading of performing, just in case of error, turned out to be a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience.

The French TV show was aired in August on TF1.

Quick Change Consultancy – Ford

Keelan and Charlotte, Quick Change Artists were excited to be involved in a huge consultancy job for Ford for the launch of the New-Look Fiesta.

Ford wanted to create something different to take to the Motor Shows around the world and thought quick change for the all-new – all changed Fiesta would be a perfect choice.

At the time – Keelan and Charlotte were away working on the cruise ship, they took time off in between cruises and came back to the UK and preped Ford and the artists in just three days before returning to the ship.

The quick change artists trained up four dancers to perform a bespoke quick change act where during the routine right before the final dress change with glitter the two new fiestas were revelaed in hot pink and lime green.

The Ford team did the London, Beijing, Moscow and Geneva Motorshows – it was so well received that they actually won and industry award for most original trade show exhibition.

It was something Keelan and Charlotte worked closely with Ford on and were proud to be part of something so spectacular.

Quick Change Artists London – Halloween 2013 – Amazon

British Quick Change Artists, Keelan and Charlotte were exciting to spend Halloween 2013 performing in London for Amazon. It was a really fun event to perform the quick change act at as the crowd were young and excited and ready for fun.

The event was held in an underground nightclub in Southwark, London and the venue was decked out completely for Halloween and all the staff and entertainers were made up in scary halloween make-up.

The Quick change artists added some spooky props to their quick change act and made some of the dancing into “zombie moves” – the crowd really enjoyed the specialty act and the quick change artists had fun performing for such a buzzing crowd.

The quick change artists always love performing in London, their own city because so often they perform overseas where a lot of traveling is involved so sometimes it is so nice to be able to leave home at lunch time and get back to your own bed all in the same day. Amazon were a fabulous company to perform for, and the feedback they gave was excellent and that the crowd loved the quick change act.
